Here’s where I’m at:

The days are about five hours long and only rainy; I don’t remember the last time I wore my pretty, adult woman type clothing; I’m too far left to still be feeling relief about Biden; I’m too far north to be able to socialize outside; my friends across the Connecticut river are banned from visiting; and I have started talking to myself out loud. We could all use a bit of extra comfort right now, right? Hence, books!

Books are one of the most affordable and longest lasting ways to numb the various and sundry heartaches, inconveniences and teeth gnashings of this current season. Here are five categories that will take you anywhere but here.
